My name is Gaye Phillips. I am married to Bobby Phillips and we have two beautiful daughters, Abbey (17 yrs.) and Alison (13 yrs.). We attend Greenbrier church of Christ in Anniston, Alabama, where we are very involved in the youth activities. Bobby is deacon over youth, equipment and expenses. We live in Oxford, Alabama. Bobby works for the Department of Army at the Anniston Army Depot. He also has a computer business which he operates from our home. Both of our daughters attend private schools in the area. I feel blessed to be able to work from my home office/studio.

I truly feel that I have been led to this profession and count it a privilege and a blessing to be where I am today. My interest in photography began years ago when I was the student photographer for my high school yearbook. After I graduated from Anniston High School in 1982, I attended Faulkner University in Montgomery. I continued my love for photography as I worked part-time for a local photographer and took night classes in photography at AUM (Auburn Univ. @ Montgomery) nearby. After college, I continued to work for other photographers in the Birmingham area and later back in the Anniston/Oxford area. Photography has been my area of vocation for the past 22 years. I still enjoy what I do as I continue to develop my own style and skills. I am learning more and more by taking classes, reading and studying the works of other well known photographers. I love to express myself and capture all of God’s awesome creations through the lens of my camera. He is truly so good and has blessed us all with His beauty. It is my prayer that His handy work will never be taken for granted.

At the urging of family and friends and wanting to be more available to my husband and daughters, and after much thought and prayer, A Moment In Time was born in 2003. It is my prayer that the beauty of God’s creation can be seen in my work and that I will always give Him the glory in all that I do.

With the help of my husband, we can also create a beautiful, unique and one of a kind DVD presentation to document any special occasion, such as Graduation, Birthday, Wedding, Anniversary, Retirement, Sports, etc. Please see Galleries for examples.
